Increasing the Supply of Affordable Homes in the South Bay

The shortage of housing in Los Angeles has created a crisis. The average rent for an apartment is over $2,200, leading low-income renters to spend over 70% of their income on housing based on a study by the California Housing Partnership Corporation.

Because a large portion of income is spent on housing, most people have little in savings and cannot handle unexpected circumstances like a health crisis, rent increase or job loss. These sudden changes are major contributors to stress on families struggling to get by and put families at risk of being displaced.

It is critical for our community to work towards sustainable and successful solutions that help South Bay neighbors remain connected to their family, friends, schools and other relations.

West Carson Apartments provides this opportunity by making more affordable rental homes available and by pairing them with services that help people to thrive.
